The Management Team

Scott Laskey

President

Mr. Laskey has been involved in the design/build contracting industry for over 20 years. Prior to starting Sandbar, Mr. Laskey was a managing partner at Bay-Tec Engineering, Inc., a design/build process automation firm focused on mission critical manufacturing solutions for the Pharmaceutical and BioTech industries. While at Bay-Tec, he was integral and active in growing the operation from a small single office to multiple branch locations capable of developing and executing projects throughout the Western United States. This strong background working with complex, highly regulated electrical systems is the foundation of Sandbar's insistence on delivering quality and consistency. Mr. Laskey holds a Bachelors Degree from The University of California, San Diego in Economics.

Dave Brill

Operations

Mr. Brill has over 10 years experience in electrical construction, eco-building and photovoltaic solar. Certified as a General Journeyman electrician, Mr. Brill has proven himself highly skilled in project management delivering safe, on-time, and on-budget projects in the commercial and residential solar and electrical markets. Recent projects also include; off grid and large scale commercial solar PV installations, electrical and communications for the Bio-tech industry and public works sectors, and residential electrical in eco-homes built with Rastra.

Denny Mosher

V.P. Engineering

Mr. Mosher has been involved in electrical engineering for 33 years in numerous countries but primarily in the State of California where he has been a registered Electrical Engineer since the early 1980's. He was the founder, President, and CEO of Bay-Tec Engineering of Napa, California. Bay-Tec designs and builds custom control systems for the BioTech and Semiconductor industries and grew from zero to over $11M under Mr. Mosher's leadership. He has been a charter member and President of the San Francisco Bay Area chapter of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), 30 year member of the International Society of Automation, and a board member of the Control System Integrators Association (CSIA) overseeing the writing of CSIA's Best Practices and Members Compliance. Mr. Mosher holds a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and is a Registered Electrical Engineer in the state of California.

Susan Whitehill

Finance Manager

Susan has had the privilege of working in the Santa Cruz County Solar Market since 2002. She brings a wealth of experience to Sandbar and enjoys working for the best local solar and electrical contractor in Santa Cruz. She has overseen the installation, interconnection, and rebate processing for several megawatts of solar power. She holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems.
